The Intensive English Program is hosted in Tampa, at one of the 15 largest universities in the United States and also one of the nation's major public research universities. This Doctoral/Research University enrolls 30,000 students from all 50 states and over 100 countries. They represent all ages, cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
TAMPA BAY
Tampa Bay is ideally located on Florida's West Coast, and features miles of glistening waterways and sandy shorelines. Its central location provides easy access to the nearby Gulf beaches, several area lakes and surrounding areas.
With Tampa as your primary destination, you can easily reach other cities for day-trips and planned excursions. Clearwater and St. Petersburg are a short 23 miles to the west, Sarasota is 61 miles southwest, and Orlando is 82 miles to the east. Tampa is Florida's third most populous city with more than 300,000 residents.
In Tampa Bay you don't have to look too far for adventure. Packed with excitement, the Bay area offers visitors an explosion of educational, entertaining and cultural attractions. With family venues such as zoos, aquariums and theme parks and a climate that allows for outdoor activities like beach-going and canoeing year-round, it's no wonder families love Tampa Bay. The area is home to such favorites as Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, Museum of Science & Industry and Lowry Park Zoo.

CAMPUS FACILITIES
Campus Recreation Center: State-of-the-art facility with indoor racquetball, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pools, weight machines and aerobic rooms. Students can enjoy classes of Yoga, Pilates, Spin, Kickboxing and Belly Dancing.
Canoe and kayak rentals. Flag football and Frisbee. Tennis courts, softball complex and a soccer stadium complete this exciting campus.
The Sports Stadium is a famous sports arena, portraying sporting events and concerts.
The library is the largest, non-medical, academic facility in Florida. It contains 1.6 million volumes of books and 15,000 magazines and newspapers .Excellent virtual library and 2 computer labs.
Golf Course: the 18-hole championship course is a challenging course with narrow fairways and raised greens.
Contemporary Art Museum: the museum collects and displays scholarly, contemporary work by artists such as Warhol, Mapplethorpe and Liechtenstein.
Health Services: an ambulatory –care facility unit is available to students and staff.
