The University

Our summer program in California is hosted at San Diego State University. Located on Montezuma Mesa, the SDSU is ideally situated in the very heart of the city. Here you will be just minutes away from miles of beautiful beaches to the west, the scenic mountains to the east, lovely La Jolla to the north, and the laid back charm of nearby Mexico down south. Sprinkled throughout the city are major entertainment centers, championship golf courses and popular shopping districts.

All of the residential facilities are conveniently located on the SDSU campus and near the surrounding business community. Each residence hall features a lounge, recreation room, bathroom facilities, vending machines, laundry facilities, security desks, telephone and cable television. Each hall has central air conditioning. For your convenience, the residence halls feature two swimming pools. The pools are located on the east side of campus to accommodate guests. Each swimming pool and surrounding common area is available for our students throughout their stay during previously scheduled hours.

The residence hall is a unique complex which includes a dining facility for all guests. In addition to the swimming pools, there is a sand volleyball court and a convenience store. Each suite has a common area, small kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, microwave and two full-size bathrooms. Each residence hall includes in-house laundry facilities with card-operated washers and dryers. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor of each residence hall. Guests need to bring their own laundry supplies. Cards are available for purchase for a discounted price.

Sports facilities include soccer and baseball fields, a gym and swimming pools. Entertainment centers are available and used for evening and some afternoon activities, including bowling and dance parties.

Food services are offered on campus including breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday through Friday at an all you can eat dining facility. Menu choices include such items as hot and cold breakfast, deli sandwiches, hamburgers and lunch specials. A vegetarian entrée is available at each meal. Please, refer to the calendar of activities on the side panel for schedule of daily meals. The SDSU is within close proximity to many of the area hospitals and health centers.
