Our Summer Program is designed for international students ages 14 to 18.
Yes, we offer classes for students of all levels, basic, intermediate and advanced.
We offer 15 class-hours per week in the mornings from Monday to Friday.
At Access to Language Studies, we take particular pride in the connection we have with professionals, staff, and faculty, who are dedicated to working and cooperating with us to make our summer program a successful one. Our staff works hard to maintain an atmosphere that fosters academic success and intercultural development. Our teachers are qualified ESL instructors and are trained and supervised by our experienced Director of Studies.
Our exclusive Online English Placement Test is offered after booking your course. When we receive your enrollment form, we will send you a link for your Placement Test. Our classes are divided by age and English level.
Yes, we offer a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course.
Our students can enroll for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. A minimum of two weeks is required, and arrivals are on Sundays and departures on Saturdays.
You do not need a student visa to enter the United States to participate in our program. You will need a B2 tourism visa or a Visa Waiver, if your country of citizenship is a participant of the Visa Waiver Program.
Our accommodations at St. John’s are typically in suite style apartments with single and double occupancy and a bathroom ratio of 3:1 and 4:1. There is 24/7 security in the residence hall, free laundry with washers & dryers, microwaves and refrigerators in the unit, as well as free Wi-Fi throughout campus.

Our accommodations at St. John’s University include single and double rooms. Most students will share a room with another student. Single accommodation may be available upon request.

We offer a variety of field trips every day of the week. Our students will discover New York City through daily afternoon and evening field trips to historical and cultural places of interest. Our staff will organize and supervise each group tour, so you can experience NYC culture and lifestyle. Field trips may include Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Times Square and Midtown Manhattan, Central Park, Summit One Vanderbilt, Metropolitan Museum, 9/11 Memorial and much more!
Yes, our trained staff accompanies and supervises our students on the field trips.
Yes, public transportation in New York City and MetroCards are included in our program price.
Our students enjoy many dining and catering options at the recently renovated Dining Hall. Meal plans include all-you-can-eat buffet style dining. Breakfast and lunch are offered from Monday to Friday and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays on campus. Dinners are cash-out and the students can buy the meal of their choice with the cash that is offered during the field trips.

Yes, Health Travel Insurance with a Covid clause including flight delay is mandatory!

Airport transfers are offered to/from La Guardia and JFK Airports. Find additional information about it HERE. Transfers to/from Newark Airport are also offered for an additional fee.

In 2024, our Summer Program start dates are June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, and July 28.
